What we’re looking for
We are seeking a highly skilled Coda Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable workflows, automation, and data-driven solutions using Coda. This role will focus on leveraging Coda as a central platform for business operations, process automation, and data orchestration, enabling teams to streamline workflows, improve decision-making, and reduce manual work. The ideal candidate has strong experience building advanced Coda docs, working with APIs, and integrating multiple systems into cohesive solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Coda Development & Automation
- Design and develop advanced Coda docs to support business processes and operations
- Build scalable systems using tables, formulas, views, and buttons
- Develop and maintain Coda Packs (custom and third-party integrations)
- Automate workflows using Coda Automations
- Create user-friendly interfaces and dashboards for stakeholders
Integration & API Development
- Integrate Coda with external tools and platforms via APIs
- Develop and maintain REST API integrations
- Work with JSON data and data transformation logic
- Build and manage data sync processes across systems
- Implement secure authentication (OAuth, API keys, etc.)
Data Management & Analytics
- Design data models within Coda
- Ensure data accuracy, validation, and integrity
- Build dashboards and reporting solutions
- Enable real-time visibility into business metrics
- Optimize performance of large Coda docs
Process Optimization
- Analyze current workflows and identify automation opportunities
- Replace manual processes with scalable Coda-based solutions
- Standardize processes across teams using reusable templates
- Drive adoption of automation best practices
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Operations, Finance, HR, and Product teams
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Provide training and documentation for end users
- Act as a subject matter expert on Coda capabilities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5+ years of experience in Coda development or similar low-code platforms
- Strong experience with:
- Coda (docs, formulas, tables, automations)
- API integrations (REST)
- JSON and data structuring
- Experience designing scalable workflow systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience building custom Coda Packs
- Experience with other low-code/no-code tools (Notion, Airtable, Zapier, Make, etc.)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (JavaScript or Python)
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms (CRM, ERP, HR, Finance tools)
- Background in operations, automation, or systems design
