About the Role
We’re seeking a dependable and skilled Class B Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience, a solid understanding of CNC machining practices, and the ability to produce quality parts while following engineering drawings, work instructions, and established manufacturing procedures.
This role is ideal for a machinist who can perform routine setups and machining operations with limited supervision and is interested in developing more advanced machining, programming, setup, and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment with limited supervision.
- Manufacture parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and job requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Select and install appropriate tooling and make routine machine adjustments.
- Verify tooling, offsets, and setup information before and during machining operations.
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specified requirements.
- Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges.
- Monitor machining operations and identify issues related to tooling, dimensions, surface finish, or machine performance.
- Make routine adjustments to maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
- Complete manufacturing and inspection travelers and other required production documentation accurately.
- Report machining, drawing, tooling, or quality concerns to supervisors or Quality Assurance personnel.
