POSITION OVERVIEW
The Lead Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing commercial construction projects
from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest
quality standards. This role leads field operations, manages subcontractors, coordinates with project teams,
and maintains strong client relationships across healthcare, K-12, and higher education projects.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all on-site construction activities from project startup through completion.
- Manage subcontractors, site logistics, schedules, and daily field operations.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and design teams.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety policies and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain and update construction schedules, including short-interval production schedules.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Resolve field issues and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.
- Support both new construction and renovation projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS / IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES - 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
- Experience in healthcare, K-12, or higher education construction preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and specifications.
- Experience with Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMAR) projects is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and team management abilities.
