POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Engineer is responsible for leading engineering and manufacturing projects from concept
through completion, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating, and
process improvement. This role combines project management and engineering expertise to deliver
innovative, cost-effective manufacturing solutions while supporting operational efficiency and product
quality.
The successful candidate will collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, contractors, and customers
to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical requirements while ensuring compliance with
safety and quality standards.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead engineering and manufacturing projects from planning through implementation
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate engineering design, research, prototyping, and process improvement initiatives
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers throughout project execution
- Collaborate with purchasing, estimating, customer service, production, and leadership teams
- Oversee project bidding processes and contract negotiations
- Monitor project costs and ensure budget compliance without compromising quality
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Research new materials, manufacturing equipment, and production technologies
- Create, organize, and maintain engineering documentation and technical records
- Prepare engineering drawings, detailed designs, and project documentation
- Evaluate alternative engineering solutions to improve product performance and manufacturability
- Review product and process designs for feasibility, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness
- Work closely with suppliers regarding engineering specifications and material requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Perform additional engineering duties and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES - Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering
discipline required - Preferred 5–7 years of progressive Project Engineering experience
- Experience managing engineering and manufacturing projects
- Knowledge of mold fabrication processes preferred
- Experience with plastics manufacturing or related manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
